“Move IT!” On Display Throughout Colorado Springs
Select photos and videos from the Move IT! exhibition are on display in various locations around the Pikes Peak region while some remain at Imagination Space (iSpace). These locations which will have public viewings include the Olympic Training Center, the U.S. Olympic Committee Headquarters, and four Pikes Peak Library District branches (Fountain, High Prairie, Rockrimmon and Ute Pass).
Move IT! is the culmination of a photo contest that has been a joint effort of the Colorado Springs Independent and Imagination Celebration. Move IT!, is a study of the human form in motion.
The exhibit spans the range of capturing human movement from athletics, to amateur recreation to movement in everyday life. And the subjects range from the very young to the seasoned athletes, all moving to the rhythms of the times and their environments. Captured in color and black & white photography, as well as video, the results of this community photography contest are invigorating, thoughtful and fun to view. The incredible flexibility and beauty of the human form in motion is captured in these photographs, while the endless number of activities and locales of these endeavors is displayed. Entries for the contest came from all over the Pikes Peak region.
