Colorado Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
Boulder Theater hosts joyous, sold-out Colo. Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony
It seemed only fitting that the third induction class of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame should be honored at a ceremony at the Boulder Theater. After all, two of the four inductees got their start in Boulder and another shares a name with a nearby mountain.
A sell-out crowd of 1,000 people, cheered, laughed and sang along with members of Boulder bands The Astronauts and Flash Cadillac Saturday night at a “Rockin’ the 60s”-themed induction ceremony for Colorado’s local music hall of fame. Two other inductees, Denver rock band Sugarloaf and Denver AM station KIMN radio, were also honored Saturday.
G. Brown, director and curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame, hosted the induction ceremony. He called KIMN the Internet of the 60s because it connected a whole generation of young Denver rock ‘n’ roll fans.
